Arrow in Picture Privacy Policy

Summary
Arrow in Picture is an offline inspection-camera app. The developer does not collect, receive, sell, track, or share personal data, photographs, captions, usage data, or device identifiers.
Photos and captions
Camera images, markers, and captions are processed on the device. Finished images are saved to Apple Photos, including the “Arrow” album. Arrow in Picture does not upload them to a developer-operated server. If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may sync those images according to the user’s Apple and iCloud settings and Apple’s privacy terms.
Speech recognition
Voice captioning is optional. When the user activates it, Arrow in Picture uses Apple’s Speech framework. Audio or transcription requests may be processed by Apple according to Apple’s operating-system behavior and privacy terms. The developer does not receive that audio or transcription. Users may type captions instead.
Local information
Arrow in Picture stores camera and marker preferences locally on the device. It also stores identifiers needed to hide selected images from the app’s temporary recent-photo strip; hiding an image there does not delete the original from Apple Photos. This local information is not transmitted to the developer.
Permissions
- Camera access is used to take photographs.
- Photos access is used to save finished photographs, create the Arrow album, and display recent album images.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition access are used only when the user chooses voice captioning.
Permissions can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings. Arrow in Picture does not use tracking technologies and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Retention and deletion
The developer retains no user data. Users control photographs in Apple Photos and can delete them there. Removing Arrow in Picture deletes its local settings but does not delete photographs already saved in Apple Photos. Apple Photos and iCloud retention are controlled by the user’s Apple settings.
Children
Arrow in Picture is a general-purpose inspection tool and does not knowingly collect information from children or any other users.
